Hello,

I was fascinated after installing the plugin because it worked immediately. But on the frontpage only :o(

When I try to go into one of my sections-blogs, only the name of the section is displayed and no blog anymore :o(

I'm using Joomla 1.15 but I'm still running in localhost-mode for collecting some experiences. I also got installed a "Auto-Read-More" plugin, which cuts all blog-entry on the front-page after 500 characters but turning it off doesn't change anything.

I also tried to installed similar tools like fboxbot or JoomThumbnail. There I got the same problem. This is really strange, must be a setting in my joomla or something like that.

Do you have any idea what this might be?

I installed a new Joomla-instance (now 1.5.17), but the effect is still the same.
On frontpage it works, when I want to go to a section, the page is corrupt (only the title of the section blog is displayed).

Very curious. Other plugins work now, but not smartresizer (which is still the best!).

No Ideas?

I found out what the problem was. The picture was to big. It was about 2.5MB and this was just to much. I resized it to 1.5MB and everything worked fine. That's a little bit stupid because I have pictures up to 3 or 4MB.

Have you ever had problems like these?

Smartresizer is the best tool I tried because it is easy and fast. I love the possibility to define two sizes, one for the articles and one for the preview in blog mode. Other tools just allow one size or they are so stupid, that they change the ratio of the pictues.

If there would be a possibility to chose the categories to process or to leave, the tool would be perfect. Multithumb offers such a function.

It is possible with hacking core joomla xml files.

Try to find settings of your local PHP, which set maxumim memory size for runing script. Maybe your local server has this limit and You need to increase this limit.

But I strongly suggest you reduce the size of large images to at least 500kb, otherwise users can not wait for uploading large images on a real site
